Former Vice President of Taiwan Chen Jian-ren met on September 5 with Cardinal Konrad Krajewski and donated 30,000 euros to the Holy See on behalf of the entire Taiwanese people for charitable purposes.

Cardinal Kraevsky said that he would leave for Ukraine in three days, and Taiwan’s donations turned out to be very timely. Kraevsky expressed sincere gratitude to the Taiwanese people and government for financial and humanitarian assistance to Ukrainian refugees.

Kraevsky said that a special department of the Holy See is engaged in helping people who find themselves in a difficult situation.

Chen Jian-ren thanked the cardinal for his work and help. In March and April of this year, the cardinal personally delivered humanitarian aid to Lviv. Chen also thanked Kraevsky for his work in the field of humanitarian cooperation between the Vatican and Taiwan.
